About Frideswide Voices

FV at Worcester Chapel

Frideswide Voices is a girl choristers’ choir directed by Will Dawes.  Established in 2014 under the auspices of The Frideswide Foundation, a charitable trust, the choir promotes opportunities for girls, aged between 7 and 14, to sing within the liturgy in Oxford college chapels.

Frideswide Voices was in residence at Christ Church Cathedral for Michaelmas Term 2016. In Hilary Term 2017 Frideswide Voices has a residency at New College Chapel where it will contribute to Evensong services as well as to a performance of an early 16th century Mystery Play.  Magdalen College Chapel welcomes Frideswide Voices for Trinity Term 2017.

Frideswide Voices has a professional Director of Music whose choral training is complemented by vocal coaching and music theory training provided by an experienced team of teaching staff. The choir is managed by a committee, overseen by trustees of the Frideswide Foundation.
