The “Be a Chorister for an Evening” taster session planned for Wednesday 18th March has been cancelled following the suspension of Church of England public services.

Helen Smee became the choir’s new DoM as it took its place in the Choral Foundation of Christ Church last September.

Chorister Auditions 2020
Auditions are scheduled for Saturday 2nd May 2020. Please come along to one of the Be a Chorister for an Evening taster sessions ahead of the audition day.
Safeguarding Policy
The Frideswide Voices Safeguarding Policy has been updated in line with the Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2018 Updates.
Tewkesbury Abbey and Great Malvern Priory Tour: 13th-15th July
Frideswide Voices set off on its first tour in mid-July, visiting Tewkesbury Abbey (Friday 13th July) and Great Malvern Priory (Saturday 14th July and Sunday 15th July). The tour was generously supported by The Friends of Christ Church Cathedral.

Residencies
Frideswide Voices thoroughly enjoyed its residencies at Oxford’s three historic choral foundations from 2016-19:
- Michaelmas Term – Christ Church
- Hilary Term – New College
- Trinity Term – Magdalen College

Frideswide Voices joined Aurora Nova (Director, Patrick Craig) for Evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral on Sunday 23rd April 2018 and on Sunday 5th January 2020.

Launch of Appeal to support the choir
The Frideswide Foundation held a reception after Evensong on 16 January 2016 in Christ Church Cathedral to launch the Frideswide Voices Appeal. The event was also the first public viewing of our first film.
