Frideswide Voices is a girl choristers’ choir directed by Will Dawes.  Established in 2014, the choir promotes opportunities for girls, aged between 7 and 14, to sing within the liturgy in Oxford college chapels.  Through weekly rehearsals and services, girls gain a rounded choral education singing Anglican repertoire.

Frideswide Voices is ‘in residence’ at Christ Church Cathedral for Michaelmas Term 2016 and at New College in Hilary Term 2017.  As well as several services at Christ Church Cathedral, Frideswide Voices will also sing at Exeter, Jesus, Oriel, Queen’s and Worcester colleges, as well as at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, during Michaelmas Term 2016.

See the report in the Oxford Times on Frideswide Voices.

Frideswide Voices currently has no vacancies.  Potential choristers are encouraged to attend a “Be a Chorister for an Evening” (BACFAE) event during Year 2 (age 6-7).  The next BACFAE will be held on Monday 7th November 2016 from 4.30pm at Worcester College.  To find out more about how to join the choir, please download an information leaflet and an application form.
