Director of Music Appointment

Following the resignation of Will Dawes, Frideswide Voices’ pioneering founding Director since 2014, a new Director of Music is sought.

Magdalen College Residency 2019

The girls are sounding wonderful in this special acoustic.  Catch them here while you can!  We are also delighted to introduce FV’s new organ scholar, Ben Banks.  He will be in the loft most weeks this term.

Chorister Auditions 2019

Auditions for entry in September 2019 were held on Saturday 11th May.

 

Safeguarding Policy

The Frideswide Voices Safeguarding Policy has been updated in line with the Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2018 Updates.

 

Tewkesbury Abbey and Great Malvern Priory Tour: 13th-15th July

Frideswide Voices set off on its first tour in mid-July, visiting Tewkesbury Abbey (Friday 13th July) and  Great Malvern Priory (Saturday 14th July and Sunday 15th July).  The tour was generously supported by The Friends of Christ Church Cathedral.

Residencies

Frideswide Voices continues its residencies at Oxford’s three historic choral foundations for 2018-19:

  • Michaelmas Term – Christ Church
  • Hilary Term – New College
  • Trinity Term – Magdalen College

The Organists of all three foundations welcomed this historic development from 2015.  Read more.

Frideswide Voices joined Aurora Nova (Director, Patrick Craig) for Evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral on Sunday 23rd April.

Launch of Appeal to support the choir

The Frideswide Foundation held a reception after Evensong on 16 January 2016 in Christ Church Cathedral to launch the Frideswide Voices Appeal. The event was also the first public viewing of our first film.
